Exploring the outdoors one trail at a time

Weekends year-round are spent exploring off-road trails. In June 2022, a new Polaris RZR Pro R joined the adventure, accumulating more than 9,000 miles (as of Jan. 18, 2025) primarily on Michigan trail systems. The mountain trails of West Virginia, including the Outlaw and Hatfield-McCoy systems, have also been part of these explorations. A passion for off-roading began during a visit to West Virginia, where the experience of driving a side-by-side (SxS) vehicle sparked a love for the sport and led to building an incredible community of fellow off-road enthusiasts.

Time on the trails provides a therapeutic escape, helping maintain balance amidst the demands of everyday life. After riding motorcycles for more than three decades, the decision was made to step away from that chapter following the tragic loss of several friends in the summer of 2021. Fortunately, involvement in the SxS community had already begun, making it a natural transition to pursue trail-based adventures full-time.

In 2021, Throttle Off-Road launched as a trail guide service based in St. Helen, Michigan. Challenges with obtaining the necessary permits for legal operation in the state led to the difficult decision to close the service. However, a passion for off-road adventure remained undeterred.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in fundraising and event planning, services are now offered as an adventure planner and off-road event consultant. Whether creating a simple trail excursion or an unforgettable off-road experience, a focus on the details ensures time, energy, and money are saved while delivering a memorable adventure.

Sharing photos and videos of personal explorations remains a priority, showcasing the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of trail riding—whether in a side-by-side or any off-road vehicle.
